De har insatt kungar men inte från mig (utan att rådfråga mig), de har gjort sig furstar och jag känner dem inte. [1 Kung 11-12, med några få undantag som Jerobeam (1 Kung 11:29-40) och Jehu (2 Kung 9:1-3).] Av deras silver och deras guld har de gjort dem, avgudar som kan huggas bort.
