ஆதியாகமம் 17:8

நீ பரதேசியாகத் தங்கிவருகிற கானான் தேசம் முழுவதையும், உனக்கும் உனக்குப் பின்வரும் உன் சந்ததிக்கும் என்றென்றைக்கும் சொந்தமாகக் கொடுத்து, நான் அவர்களுக்குத் தேவனாக இருப்பேன்” என்றார்.

And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
