เศฟันยาห์ 3:7

เรากล่าวว่า ‘​แท้จริง​ เมืองนั้นจะยำเกรงเรา เธอจะยอมรับคำสั่งสอน’ เพื่อที่อาศัยของเขาจะไม่​ถู​กตัดออก เราลงโทษเขาอย่างไรก็​ตาม​ ​แต่​เขาทั้งหลายยิ่งกลับร้อนใจที่จะให้การกระทำของเขาเสื่อมทราม”

I said, Surely thou wilt fear me, thou wilt receive instruction; so their dwelling should not be cut off, howsoever I punished them: but they rose early, and corrupted all their doings.
