അതിന്നകത്തു അതിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ ഗർജ്ജിക്കുന്ന സിംഹങ്ങൾ; അതിന്റെ ന്യായാധിപതിമാർ വൈകുന്നേരത്തെ ചെന്നായ്ക്കൾ; അവർ പ്രഭാതകാലത്തേക്കു ഒന്നും ശേഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നില്ല.

Her princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they gnaw not the bones till the morrow.
