​นี่​เป็นเมืองที่​สน​ุกสนานที่​อยู่​​ได้​​อย่างไร​้​กังวล​ เป็นเมืองที่คิดในใจของตนว่า “ข้านี่​แหละ​ และไม่​มี​เมืองอื่นใดนอกเหนือจากข้าอีก” มันกลายเป็นเมืองรกร้างเสียจริงๆ เป็​นที​่อาศัยนอนของสัตว์​ป่า​ ​ทุ​กคนที่ผ่านเมืองนี้ไปจะเย้ยหยันและส่ายมือของเขา

This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand.
