జెఫన్యా 2:9

నా జీవం తోడు మోయాబు దేశం సొదొమ పట్టణం వలె, అమ్మోను దేశం గొమొర్రా పట్టణం వలె అవుతాయి . అవి ముళ్ళ చెట్లకు ఉప్పు గోతులకు స్థావరమై ఎప్పుడూ పాడుబడిపోయి ఉంటాయి. నా ప్రజల్లో శేషించినవారు ఆ దేశాలను దోచుకుంటారు. నా ప్రజల్లో శేషించినవారు వాటిని స్వతంత్రించుకుంటారు. కాబట్టి ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన సేనలప్రభువు యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇదే.

Therefore as I live, saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall spoil them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them.
