และเป็นคนยึ​ดม​ั่นในหลักคำสอนอันสัตย์ซื่อตามที่​ได้​เรียนมาแล้ว เพื่อเขาจะสามารถเตือนสติด้วยคำสอนอันถูกต้อง และชี้แจงแก่​ผู้​​ที่​คัดค้านคำสอนนั้น

Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
