​เพราะเหตุนี้​เองข้าพเจ้าจึงละท่านไว้​ที่​เกาะครีต ​ก็​เพื่อท่านจะได้​แก้​ไขสิ่งที่ยังบกพร่องให้​เรียบร้อย​ และตั้งผู้ปกครองไว้​ทุ​กเมืองตามที่ข้าพเจ้าได้กำชั​บท​่านแล้ว

For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
