ഏറിയ വെള്ളങ്ങൾ പ്രേമത്തെ കെടുപ്പാൻ പോരാ; നദികൾ അതിനെ മുക്കിക്കളകയില്ല. ഒരുത്തൻ തന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തിലുള്ള സർവ്വസമ്പത്തും പ്രേമത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി കൊടുത്താലും അവനെ നിന്ദിച്ചുകളയും.

Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.
