મને તારા હૃદય પર મુદ્રા તરીકે અને તારા હાથ પરની વીંટી તરીકે બેસાડ. કેમ કે પ્રેમ મોત સમાન બળવાન છે. અને ઈર્ષ્યા શેઓલ જેવી ક્રૂર છે; તેના ચમકારા; અગ્નિની જ્વાળા જેવા પ્રબળ છે.

¶ Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.
