Zie, gij zijt schoon, Mijn vriendin! zie, gij zijt schoon; uw ogen zijn duiven ogen tussen uw vlechten; uw haar is als een kudde geiten, die het gras van den berg Gileads afscheren.

Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves’ eyes within thy locks: thy hair is as a flock of goats, that appear from mount Gilead.
