అందుకు రూతు “నీతో రావద్దనీ, నిన్ను విడిచిపొమ్మనీ నాకు చెప్పొద్దు. నువ్వు ఎక్కడికి వెళ్తావో నేనూ అక్కడికే వస్తాను. నువ్వు ఎక్కడ ఉంటావో నేనూ అక్కడే ఉంటాను. ఇకనుండి నీ ప్రజలే నా ప్రజలు. నీ దేవుడే నా దేవుడు.

And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:
