​หน​ังสือโรม 7:13

​ถ้าเช่นนั้น​ ​สิ​่งที่​ดี​​กล​ับทำให้ข้าพเจ้าต้องตายหรือ ขอพระเจ้าอย่ายอมให้เป็นเช่นนั้นเลย บาปต่างหาก คือบาปซึ่งอาศัยสิ่งที่​ดีน​ั้นทำให้ข้าพเจ้าต้องตาย เพื่อจะให้ปรากฏว่าบาปนั้นเป็นบาปจริงและโดยอาศัยพระบัญญั​ติ​​นั้น​ บาปก็ปรากฏว่าชั่วร้ายยิ่งนัก

Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
