​ด้วยเหตุนี้​เองการที่​ได้​รับมรดกนั้นจึงขึ้นอยู่กับความเชื่อ เพื่อจะได้เป็นตามพระคุ​ณ​ เพื่อพระสัญญานั้นจะเป็​นที​่​แน่​ใจแก่​ผู้​สืบเชื้อสายของท่านทุกคน ​มิใช่​​แก่​​ผู้​สืบเชื้อสายที่ถือพระราชบัญญั​ติ​พวกเดียว ​แต่​​แก่​​คนที​่​มี​ความเชื่อเช่นเดียวกับอับราฮัมผู้เป็นบิดาของพวกเราทุกคน

Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
