ఈ కారణం చేత ఆ వాగ్దానం అబ్రాహాము సంతతి వారందరికీ, అంటే ధర్మశాస్త్రం గలవారికి మాత్రమే కాక అబ్రాహాముకున్న విశ్వాసం గలవారికి కూడా కృపను బట్టి వర్తించాలని, అది విశ్వాసమూలమైనది అయ్యింది. ఆ అబ్రాహాము మనందరికీ తండ్రి.
