Na verdade, foi antes dele ser circuncidado. O fato dele ser circuncidado apenas confirmou a sua fé em Deus, que o aceitou. Isso aconteceu antes dele ser circuncidado. Então, ele é o pai de todos que creem em Deus e que são considerados justos por Deus, muito embora eles possam não ser circuncidados.
