Jumala lupasi siis antaa koko maailman Aabrahamille ja hänen jälkeläisilleen. Jumala ei tehnyt sitä sen vuoksi, että Aabraham noudatti hänen lakejaan, vaan siksi, että Aabraham uskoi Jumalan pitävän lupauksensa.

For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
