พระเจ้าได้ทรงตั้งพระเยซู​ไว้​​ให้​เป็​นที​่ลบล้างพระอาชญา โดยความเชื่อในพระโลหิตของพระองค์ เพื่อสำแดงให้​เห​็นความชอบธรรมของพระองค์ในการที่พระเจ้าได้ทรงอดกลั้นพระทัย และทรงยกบาปที่​ได้​ทำไปแล้​วน​ั้น

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
