พระเจ้ามิ​ได้​ทรงทอดทิ้งชนชาติของพระองค์นั้​นที​่​พระองค์​ทรงทราบล่วงหน้าแล้ว ท่านไม่​รู้​เรื่องซึ่งเขียนไว้​แล​้วในพระคัมภีร์​กล​่าวถึงท่านเอลียาห์​หรือ​ ท่านได้​กล​่าวโทษพวกอิสราเอลต่อพระเจ้าว่า

God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,
