રોમનોને પત્ર 11:2

પોતાના જે લોકોને ઈશ્વરે અગાઉથી પસંદ કર્યા હતા તેઓને તેમણે તજ્યા નથી; વળી એલિયા સંબંધી શાસ્ત્રવચનો શું કહે છે, એ તમે નથી જાણતા? તે ઇઝરાયલની વિરુદ્ધ ઈશ્વરને વિનંતી કરે છે કે,

God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,
