Openbaring 9:2

En zij heeft den put des afgronds geopend; en er is rook opgegaan uit den put, als rook eens groten ovens; en de zon en de lucht is verduisterd geworden van den rook des puts.

And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
