Voor de troon bevond zich ook iets dat leek op een zee van glas, zo helder als kristal. Rondom de troon, aan alle vier zijden, stonden vier wezens, die zowel voor- als achteraan vol ogen zaten.

And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
