Ik, Johannes, die ook uw broeder ben, en medegenoot in de verdrukking, en in het Koninkrijk, en in de lijdzaamheid van Jezus Christus, was op het eiland, genaamd Patmos, om het Woord Gods, en om de getuigenis van Jezus Christus.

I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
