యోహాను రాసిన ప్రకటన గ్రంథం 18:7

ఆమె తనను తాను హెచ్చించుకుంది. విలాస భోగాల్లో జీవించింది. అంతే మొత్తంలో ఆమెకు హింసనూ, వేదననూ కలగజేయండి. ఎందుకంటే ఆమె తన మనసులో, “నేను రాణిగా కూర్చుండేదాన్ని, విధవను కాను. సంతాపం చూడనే చూడను” అనుకుంది.

How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
