యోహాను రాసిన ప్రకటన గ్రంథం 15:1

పరలోకంలో మరో ఆశ్చర్యకరమైన గొప్ప సంకేతం నేను చూశాను. అదేమిటంటే ఏడుగురు దేవదూతలు తమ చేతుల్లో ఏడు తెగుళ్ళు పట్టుకుని ఉన్నారు. ఇవి చివరివి. వీటితో దేవుని ఆగ్రహం తీరిపోతుంది.

And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.
