​ทูตสวรรค์​​อี​กองค์​หน​ึ่งตามไปประกาศว่า “บาบิโลนมหานครนั้นล่มจมแล้ว ล่มจมแล้ว เพราะว่านครนั้นทำให้​ประชาชาติ​ทั้งปวงดื่มเหล้าองุ่นแห่งความเดือดดาลของเธอในการล่วงประเวณี”
