యోహాను రాసిన ప్రకటన గ్రంథం 12:4

వాడు తన తోకతో ఆకాశంలో ఉన్న నక్షత్రాల్లో మూడవ భాగాన్ని ఈడ్చి వాటిని భూమి మీదికి విసిరికొట్టాడు. ఆ మహాసర్పం కనడానికి నొప్పులు పడుతున్న స్త్రీకి ఎదురుగా నిలబడ్డాడు. ఆ స్త్రీ బిడ్డకు జన్మ నివ్వగానే ఆ బిడ్డను మింగివేయాలన్నది వాడి ఉద్దేశం.

And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
