சங்கீதங்கள் 78:38

அவரோ அவர்களை அழிக்காமல், இரக்கமுள்ளவராக அவர்கள் அக்கிரமத்தை மன்னித்தார்; அவர் தமது கடுங்கோபம் முழுவதையும் எழுப்பாமல், அநேகமுறை தமது கோபத்தை விலக்கிவிட்டார்.

But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not: yea, many a time turned he his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath.
