ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 32:9

ઘોડા તથા ખચ્ચર જેને કંઈ સમજણ નથી, જેને કાબૂમાં રાખવા માટે ચોકડા તથા લગામની જરૂર છે, નહિ તો તું જ્યાં લઈ જવા ચાહે ત્યાં તેઓ આવી ન શકે, માટે તેઓના જેવો અણસમજુ ન થા.

Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.
