Psalmen 106:38

ook vergoten zij onschuldig bloed,het bloed van hun zonen en dochters,die zij offerden aan de afgoden van Kanaän,zodat het land door bloedschuld werd ontwijd.

And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.
