இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களில் மனிதர்களிலும் மிருகஜீவன்களிலும் முதற்பேறானதெல்லாம் என்னுடையது; நான் எகிப்துதேசத்திலே முதற்பேறான யாவையும் கொன்ற நாளிலே அவைகளை எனக்கென்று பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தி,

For all the firstborn of the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.
