પરંતુ નાદાબ અને અબીહૂ યહોવાહની આગળ સિનાઈના અરણ્યમાં પારકો અગ્નિ ચઢાવવાથી યહોવાહની આગળ માર્યા ગયા. તેથી તેઓ સિનાઈના રણમાં જ મૃત્યુ પામ્યા. તેઓ નિ:સંતાન હતા. અને એલાઝાર અને ઈથામાર પોતાના પિતા હારુનના જીવનકાળ દરમ્યાન યાજકપદમાં સેવાઓ બજાવતા હતા.
