NUMERI 35:33

E non profanate il paese, nel quale voi abiterete; conciossiachè il sangue profani il paese; e il paese non può esser purgato del sangue, che sarà stato sparso in esso, se non col sangue di chi l'avrà sparso.

So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.
