NUMERI 35:12

E quelle città vi saranno per rifugio d'innanzi a colui che ha la ragione di vendicare il sangue; acciocchè l'ucciditore non muoia, finchè non sia comparito in giudicio davanti alla raunanza.

And they shall be unto you cities for refuge from the avenger; that the manslayer die not, until he stand before the congregation in judgment.
