“நான் என்னுடைய எரிச்சலில் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களை அழிக்காதபடி, ஆசாரியனாகிய ஆரோனின் மகனான எலெயாசாரின் மகன் பினெகாஸ், எனக்காக அவர்கள் நடுவில் பக்திவைராக்கியம் காண்பித்ததினால், இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள்மேல் உண்டான என்னுடைய கடுங்கோபத்தை திருப்பினான்.
