તે બલામને પિસ્ગાહ પર્વતની શિખરે આવેલા સોફીમના ખેતરમાં લઈ ગયો, ત્યાં તેણે સાત વેદીઓ બાંધી. દરેક વેદી ઉપર એક બળદ અને એક ઘેટાંનું બલિદાન ચઢાવ્યું.
