กันดารวิถี 22:6

​ฉะนั้น​ ขอเชิญมาเถิด ​บัดนี้​ขอสาปแช่งชนชาติ​นี้​​ให้​​แก่​​ข้าพเจ้า​ เพราะเขาเข้มแข็งกว่าข้าพเจ้ามาก ชะรอยข้าพเจ้าจะสามารถรบชนะเขาและขับไล่เขาออกไปจากแผ่นดินได้ เพราะข้าพเจ้าทราบอยู่​ว่า​ ถ้าท่านอวยพรแก่​ผู้ใด​ ​ผู้​นั้นจะเป็นไปตามพรนั้น และท่านสาปแช่งผู้​ใด​ ​ผู้​นั้​นก​็​ถู​กสาปแช่ง”

Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land: for I wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed.
