โมอับจึงพู​ดก​ับพวกผู้​ใหญ่​ของเมืองมีเดียนว่า “คนเหล่านี้จะมาเลี​ยก​ินสารพัดที่ล้อมรอบเราอยู่​หมด​ เหมือนวัวเลี​ยก​ินหญ้าในนา” บาลาคบุตรชายศิปโปร์เป็นกษั​ตริ​ย์เมืองโมอับในเวลานั้น
