எண்ணாகமம் 22:6

அவர்கள் என்னைவிட பலவான்கள்; இருந்தாலும், நீர் ஆசீர்வதிக்கிறவன் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவன், நீர் சபிக்கிறவன் சபிக்கப்பட்டவன் என்று அறிவேன்; ஆதலால் நீர் வந்து, எனக்காக அந்த மக்களை சபிக்கவேண்டும்; அப்பொழுது ஒருவேளை நான் அவர்களை முறியடித்து, அவர்களை இந்த தேசத்திலிருந்து துரத்திவிடலாம்” என்று சொல்லச்சொன்னான்.

Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land: for I wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed.
