ബിലെയാം യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതനോടു: “ഞാൻ പാപം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു: നീ എനിക്കു എതിരായി വഴിയിൽ നിന്നിരുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിഞ്ഞില്ല; ഇതു നിനക്കു അനിഷ്ടമെന്നുവരികിൽ ഞാൻ മടങ്ങിപ്പൊയ്ക്കൊള്ളാം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Balaam said unto the angel of the LORD, I have sinned; for I knew not that thou stoodest in the way against me: now therefore, if it displease thee, I will get me back again.
