അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ ബിലെയാമിന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നു, യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ വാളൂരിപ്പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നില്ക്കുന്നതു അവൻ കണ്ടു സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണു നമസ്കരിച്ചു. യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ അവനോടു:

Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.
