యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల స్వరం విని, ఆ కనానీయుల మీద వాళ్లకు జయం ఇచ్చాడు. అప్పుడు వారు ఆ కనానీయులను, వారి పట్టణాలను పూర్తిగా నాశనం చేశారు. ఆ చోటికి “ హోర్మా” అని పేరు.
