ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు యెహోవాకు మొక్కుకుని “నువ్వు మాకు ఈ జనం మీద జయం ఇస్తే, మేము నీ పేరట వారి పట్టణాలు పూర్తిగా నాశనం చేస్తాం” అన్నారు.

And Israel vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou wilt indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.
