യിസ്രായേൽ അവനെ വാളിന്റെ വായ്ത്തലകൊണ്ടു വെട്ടി, അർന്നോൻ മുതൽ യബ്ബോക്ക്‌വരെയും അമ്മോന്യരുടെ അതിർവരെയും ഉള്ള അവന്റെ ദേശത്തെ കൈവശമാക്കി; അമ്മോന്യരുടെ അതിരോ ഉറപ്പുള്ളതു ആയിരുന്നു.
