NUMERI 21:24

E Israele lo sconfisse, e lo mise a fil di spada, e conquistò il suo paese, ch'era da Arnon fino a Iabboc, fino al paese de' figliuoli di Ammon; perciocchè la frontiera de' figliuoli di Ammon era forte.

And Israel smote him with the edge of the sword, and possessed his land from Arnon unto Jabbok, even unto the children of Ammon: for the border of the children of Ammon was strong.
