इस्राएल की यह बात सुनकर यहोवा ने कनानियों को उनके वश में कर दिया; अतः उन्होंने उनके नगरों समेत उनको भी सत्यानाश किया; इससे उस स्थान का नाम होर्मा रखा गया।

And the LORD hearkened to the voice of Israel, and delivered up the Canaanites; and they utterly destroyed them and their cities: and he called the name of the place Hormah.
