మమ్మల్ని నీ దేశం గుండా దాటి వెళ్లనివ్వు. పొలాల్లోనుంచైనా, ద్రాక్షతోటల్లోనుంచైనా మేము వెళ్ళం. బావుల్లో నీళ్లు తాగం. రాజ మార్గంలో నడిచి వెళ్ళిపోతాం. నీ సరిహద్దులు దాటే వరకూ కుడివైపుకైనా. ఎడమవైపుకైనా తిరుగకుండా వెళ్ళిపోతాం” అని చెప్పించాడు.

Let us pass, I pray thee, through thy country: we will not pass through the fields, or through the vineyards, neither will we drink of the water of the wells: we will go by the king’s high way, we will not turn to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed thy borders.
