આ જગ્યાનું નામ મરીબાહ નું પાણી એવું પાડવામાં આવ્યું, કેમ કે ત્યાં ઇઝરાયલના લોકોએ યહોવાહ સાથે ઝઘડો કર્યો હતો, તેઓ મધ્યે તેમણે પોતાને પવિત્ર મનાવ્યા.
