กันดารวิถี 19:13

​ผู้​ใดก็ตามแตะต้องคนตาย คือร่างกายของคนที่ตายแล้ว และมิ​ได้​ชำระตนให้​บริสุทธิ์​ ​ผู้​นั้​นก​็กระทำให้​พล​ับพลาของพระเยโฮวาห์​มีมลทิน​ คนนั้นจะต้องถูกตัดขาดจากอิสราเอล เพราะน้ำแห่งการแยกตั้งไว้​ไม่ได้​พรมถูกตัวเขา เขาจะเป็นมลทิน มลทินยังค้างอยู่​ที่​​เขา​

Whosoever toucheth the dead body of any man that is dead, and purifieth not himself, defileth the tabernacle of the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel: because the water of separation was not sprinkled upon him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon him.
