ജനം നടന്നു പെറുക്കി തിരികല്ലിൽ പൊടിച്ചിട്ടോ ഉരലിൽ ഇടിച്ചിട്ടോ കലത്തിൽ പുഴുങ്ങി അപ്പം ഉണ്ടാക്കും. അതിന്റെ രുചി എണ്ണചേർത്തുണ്ടാക്കിയ ദോശപോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.

And the people went about, and gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in a mortar, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it: and the taste of it was as the taste of fresh oil.
